JUNE 11 - Corn on the Cob Day
Roasted, boiled or steamed – corn on the cob is a truly delicious summer treat. The Native- American’s made a special treat with this delicious vegetable, by throwing the corn on the cob into the fire. When the corns started to explode – popcorn was invented. Be careful not to give popcorn to kids under age 4. It could be a choking hazard.
After your corn feast, save the cobs and let them dry. Roll the cobs in tempera paint, then roll the painted cobs on paper to create deliciously textured art.
